Hi, I’m Andrew, a writer with a passion for storytelling that bridges the past and present, weaving folklore, history, and mystery into immersive narratives. Whether I’m crafting tales set in the heart of Wales or Cornwall, or helping people navigate the complexities of chronic pain, my goal is the same—to uncover hidden stories, offer insight, and create meaningful connections.
In my early sixties I am happily married husband to Jane and father of a wonderful teenager. We share our home with two dogs, a Dalmatian and a Sproodle.
We are fortunate to live in the beautiful Chew Valley which lies just to the south of the cities of Bristol and Bath. We are surrounded by countryside, yet less than 30 minutes away from two major cities with everything we are likely to need.
A Love of Storytelling & History
I’ve always been drawn to the power of stories. Growing up, I was captivated by old legends, the echoes of the past lingering in the landscapes around me. This love for folklore and history found its way into my fiction, where I explore themes of legacy, resilience, and the bonds that tie us to our roots. Most of my writing projects are cosy modern mysteries, and non-fiction. I am slowly developing a collection of short stories with a science fiction and dystopian theme.
After a nasty accident at work I suffer the most intense chronic pain daily, so these days I am effectively retired on health grounds. My body may be not much use for anything other than medical research, but my mind is still in tip top condition.
In addition to fiction, I’m passionate about supporting those who live with chronic pain. Through my own experiences and research, I’ve developed resources to help others navigate their journey, from practical guides to journals designed for tracking progress and building resilience.
